Dr. Ramin AmirNovin graduated (Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa) from UCSD (Revelle College) as a Chemistry and Biochemistry double major. He continued his education in New York City, where he obtained a MD (AOA Honor Society and Lucein Rubinstein Award) from New York University Medical School. He completed his General Surgery and Neurological Surgery training at the prestigious Harvard hospital of Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). He also completed a two-year specialty training (fellowship) in Functional/Stereotactic Neurosurgery at MGH. He started his independent practice at Harvard’s Massachusetts General Hospital where he practiced complex general neurosurgery before moving back to the West coast to be near his family.
Dr. AmirNovin is a Board Certified Neurosurgeon and a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) among several other associations. He has written several book chapters, numerous articles for peer-reviewed publications and performed cutting-edge research on brain tumors, movement disorders, pain syndromes and epilepsy.
