After obtaining his Medical Degree at UCLA School of Medicine in 2000, Dr. Patel completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York. He also completed a Fellowship in Arthroscopy & Sports Medicine at the University of Massachusetts. During his training, he served as Assistant Team Physician for the Boston Red Sox and their AAA & A Minor League affiliates, the Houston Astros A affiliate (Tri-City Valleycats), the Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute Hockey Team and the Holy Cross NCAA Div. I Football Team.
In addition to serving as the Director of Sports Medicine at Casa Colina and Chief of the Orthopaedic Surgery Division at San Antonio Community Hospital, he is currently the Medical Director and Orthopaedic Surgeon for the Ontario Reign Professional Hockey Team (L.A. Kings affiliate), Claremont-McKenna-Scripps (CMS), Pomona-Pitzer, University of La Verne, Chaffey College and the Webb School in Claremont.
Dr. Patel is a member of the Garey Orthopedic Medical Group, a group of surgeons and supporting clinicians who have proudly served the Inland Empire for 30 years. He and his associates provide professional and efficient management of a variety of orthopedic conditions including sports injuries, arthritis, and fractures. Dr. Patel specializes in arthroscopic and reconstructive procedures of the shoulder, knee, elbow, wrist and hip.
